Dogeminer 2 is a free browser game. We keep data collection to what's needed to run the game, understand how the site is used, and show the ads that keep it free. This page explains what that means in practice.
Game progress is stored in your browser's local storage, on your device. It is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data will delete your local save, so download a backup first (there's a save download option on the homepage and in the game).
If you choose to sign in with Google for cloud saves, your save file is stored in your own Google Drive. The game asks for Drive access limited to its own app data folder and to files it created or you opened with it. Sign-in uses Google's sign-in library, loaded from Google. We receive your basic Google profile info (name and email) to show who is signed in. You can revoke this at any time from your Google account permissions.
If you link a Patreon account to unlock supporter perks, you sign in on Patreon (OAuth, scopes
identity and identity.memberships). We don't receive your Patreon password. The
sign-in passes through a small Cloudflare Worker we run, which asks Patreon for your profile (for example name,
email and linked social accounts) and your membership of our campaign (status, tier and pledge amounts), and
hands the answer to your browser to check your supporter status. The worker doesn't store it; the Patreon access
tokens are kept in your browser's local storage.
Separately, Patreon notifies us when someone joins, changes or leaves a membership. We log those notifications and post a short note (first name and last initial, tier and amount) to our Discord server.
We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site and game are used (pages visited, approximate region, device type, and which buttons and links are clicked). This is aggregate usage data, not tied to your identity by us. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. How Google uses data from sites that use its services.
The homepage shows the latest posts from our blog by loading its feed (blog.dogeminer2.com) in your browser. Like any web request, this sends your IP address and browser details to the server hosting the blog.
Ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads, including personalized ads where you've consented. See the Google AdSense cookie FAQ and Google Ads Settings to manage ad personalization.

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; the only personal data we ever receive (Google or Patreon sign-in) comes from optional features that require an account with those services.
